Putin Signs Spring Draft Decree

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree regarding the spring draft, reports RIA Novosti.

Recently, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu announced that citizens drafted this spring will not be sent to hotspots. “I want to emphasize that conscript soldiers will not be sent to any hotspots,” Shoigu said during a meeting on Tuesday.

He also noted that “all servicemen drafted during last year's spring draft will be transferred to the reserve after their service term concludes and will be sent back to their places of residence.”
