Russian Troops Mobilize and Take Action: 'Haykakan Jamanak'

'Haykakan Jamanak' reports: For days, conflicting information had been received regarding the village of Parukh in the Askeran region of Artsakh. Yesterday, we were informed that the Azerbaijanis had indeed withdrawn from Parukh but had not completely retreated from the territory occupied at the Karaghlykh peak. Despite this, Russian peacekeepers have been actively negotiating for several days.

We learned that about half of the Azerbaijani forces have returned to their initial positions, but as of last night, around 200-250 Azerbaijanis remained, whom the Russian peacekeepers are preventing from rotating or maintaining contact with their base.

According to our source in Artsakh, this raises hope that their supply will soon run out, and they might voluntarily return to their original positions. For two days now, the Russian side has increased its presence of peacekeepers in the area, moving them from other points to monitor and prevent any 'peresmenka' (shifts).

Meanwhile, negotiations with the Azerbaijanis continue. It should be noted that the Russian military began to move and take action only after the uproar raised by the Armenian press. Concerns have also arisen in Russia.
