Putin Awards National Guard for Heroism During Ukraine Special Operation

Russian President Vladimir Putin has awarded several Russian National Guard fighters for their bravery in battles against Ukrainian Nazis, according to a statement from the agency's press service.

The report states that a National Guard unit was subjected to heavy shelling during intense combat in the Kyiv region, and some fighters were injured. The servicemen, taking cover from the fire of Ukrainian forces, called for help from a neighboring unit.

“Through radio communication, the officers of the Russian Guard’s special forces unit learned about this—Police Major D. Kulikov, Police Senior Lieutenant S. Khrypunov, and Police Senior Lieutenant A. Kudryavtsev, who reached the injured comrades and evacuated them from the battlefield to a safe location, while also participating in repelling the enemy’s assaults,” the ministry added.
