They said to gather in 5-10 minutes, take the children out, it's dangerous. What Khryamort resident Hasmik tells: "Factinfo"

Due to the periodic Azerbaijani provocations and aggression, the residents of Khryamort and Parukh villages in Artsakh, particularly women and children, are unable to return to their homes. Hasmik Andryan, a mother of two minors, cannot recall how many times she had to spend the night at her relatives' house since the 2020 war.

"Every time the village was shelled, I took the children out. Once I took them to my paternal home, another time to my sister’s, and now we are in Askeran city at my sister-in-law’s house. We have been here since March 24. When the calls and the mugham music were playing, we were not worried; no one was leaving the village. However, on March 7, when they shelled the village, we took the children out, though the next morning we returned to the village; that day the children went to school in Khryamort. Now, although we are in Askeran, when something happens, we go back to the village to bring them back," Hasmik told "Factinfo."

Hasmik was in Khryamort two days ago: "On the 24th, we got out quickly. They said gather in 5-10 minutes, take the children out, it's dangerous. I didn’t take much for the children; I thought we would return the next day. Since then, I have gone back to the village several times. Whatever is needed, we go and bring it."

According to Hasmik, they can see the enemy fortified in the Karaghlukh area from their home. Naturally, Khryamort is fully monitored from there, every movement. Like Hasmik, most Khryamort residents have taken refuge at relatives’ homes. "Initially, some were settled in the culture house in Ivanyan, but later some moved to their relatives’ homes," Hasmik stated.

Hasmik specifically mentioned that she has not requested anything from any state body, saying, "Whatever is needed, we go and bring it from the village; I have not felt a need so far." Like other displaced individuals from Parukh and Khryamort, Hasmik also received assistance from the Red Cross. According to Anahit Petrosyan, an assistant to the head of the Askeran administration, they are in constant contact with the evacuated villagers.

The Khryamort resident, cut off from her home for 5 days due to Azerbaijani aggression, reiterates that they do not need anything; they only want to return to their native village as soon as possible.
