Current Situation on Armenia's Roads
The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
The roads closed are the Ttujur-Navur in Tavush Province, and the highways leading from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station in Aragatsotn Province to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed to trucks with trailers and difficult to navigate for other types of vehicles.
Due to damage to the bridge on the M3 highway in the Lusaghugh-Yeraskhahun section, the road segment is closed for trucks; the alternative Akhashen-Gayi-Metsamor-Jrarat road is operational.
The roads in the Lori province, specifically Urasar-Katnaghbyur and Alaverdi-Jiliza, are also difficult to navigate.
In the Aragatsotn Province, there are patches of black ice on the roads in the Aragats region.
Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, the Stepanstminda-Lars road is open.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
