One Against 100 Azerbaijanis with Numerous Vehicles and Weapons, Says Former Parukh Community Leader
About 30% of a small area of Karaglukh is under our control, while the rest is under Azerbaijani control; this is the reality. This was stated to Tert.am by Artush Mikaelyan, the former community leader of Parukh village in the Askeran region.
“Regarding the village of Parukh, a part of it is under the control of Russian peacekeepers, while for about 100 meters on both sides, it is entirely under Azerbaijani control; all the roads leading to the village are closed. One person is standing against 100 Azerbaijanis, with a large number of vehicles and weapons present in this area,” said Mikaelyan.
When asked about the current whereabouts of the village's residents, Mikaelyan noted, “Wherever they could, people have gone; some went to a friend’s house, some to neighboring villages. Everyone took what they could—including livestock—and left until things settle, so that each of us can return to our homes. The residents do not intend to abandon the village; we hope that it will be resolved, and everyone will return to their homes.”
It is noteworthy that earlier the Artsakh Defense Army reported that Azerbaijani armed forces had invaded the Republic of Artsakh, taking control of Parukh village and surrounding positions, and subsequently attempted to establish advancement in the eastern border zone of the Republic of Artsakh.
