David Tonoyan Urges Court to Respect His Right to Freedom
In the Yerevan General Jurisdiction Court, presided over by Judge Manvel Shahverdyan, a hearing took place today, March 29, regarding former Armenian Minister of Defense David Tonoyan, former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Stepan Galstyan, businessman David Galstyan (known as "Patron Davo"), Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Artak Davtyan, Avetik Muradyan, Vladimir Babayan, and Artem Hambaryan.
Sergey Hovhannisyan, Tonoyan's defense attorney, reported to NEWS.am that the court has postponed the consideration of preventive measures for former Minister of Defense David Tonoyan and former Deputy Chief of the General Staff Stepan Galstyan for one month.
During the hearing, David Tonoyan objected to the judge's actions, insisting that there are unnecessary delays in the criminal proceedings. He urged the court to respect his right to freedom.
