Two Young Men Injured with a Cutting-Piercing Tool During a Dispute

The investigation into a case involving the intentional infliction of harm on two young men is ongoing within the framework of a criminal case being handled by the Kanaker-Zeytun criminal division of the Yerevan investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee.

According to information provided to NEWS.am by the Investigative Committee, preliminary data indicates that on March 26, 2022, at around 19:30, a report was received from the "Heratsi" Medical University Hospital about a 22-year-old man who was admitted with a cut wound to the anterior abdominal wall.

On the same day, at 21:10, another report was received from the "Kanaker-Zeytun" Medical Center regarding a 33-year-old resident of Yerevan, who arrived with a diagnosis of a cut wound to the left mid-third anterior surface and a cut wound on the back.

A criminal case has been initiated under the first part of Article 112 and Article 117 of the RA Criminal Code. Both individuals have been recognized as victims.

During the preliminary investigation, extensive investigative actions have been undertaken, including an examination of the crime scene, where blood-like traces were discovered. Various items have been confiscated, and forensic medical and genetic examinations have been appointed. Several individuals have been interviewed, and a recognition procedure has been conducted for the identification of a person through photographs.

As a result of urgent measures taken, several significant circumstances of the case have been clarified, including the identity of the person suspected of committing the crime, who is a 1975-born resident of Yerevan.

It has been determined that on March 26, 2022, at around 19:00, a dispute that arose over personal issues on A. Tigranyan Street in Yerevan led to the suspect inflicting bodily harm on the aforementioned residents of Yerevan with a cutting-piercing tool.

The investigation is ongoing, and measures are being taken to discover the suspect and the weapon used in the crime.
