Russian and Ukrainian Delegations to Meet in Istanbul
The next round of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations will take place in Turkey, specifically in Istanbul. This news has been confirmed by official sources from both countries. The head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, stated in a social media post that after the latest virtual talks, both sides agreed to meet face-to-face.
According to him, the meeting is scheduled to occur between March 28 and 30. On March 28, the holding of negotiations in Turkey was also confirmed by Davit Arakhamia, the head of Ukraine's ruling party 'Servant of the People' and a member of the Ukrainian delegation, who mentioned that new details would be disclosed soon.
The idea of meeting in Turkey has received a positive response from the Ukrainian President. Kyiv will continue to demand respect for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity during the next phase of peace negotiations with Moscow. In his statement, the Ukrainian President emphasized that effective security guarantees are also essential. 'It is clear that our goal is to ensure peace in our country and to promptly return to a normal life,' Volodymyr Zelensky stressed.
