Peskov on Reports of Nationalization of Russian Business Assets
The Kremlin has denied reports suggesting that Russian authorities are considering the nationalization of Russian entrepreneurs' assets and companies. Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary for the President of Russia, stated to RIA Novosti that this is misinformation and advised against giving in to such fabrications.
Earlier, against the backdrop of comments from major Russian entrepreneurs, information had circulated regarding the potential nationalization not only of foreign property but also of Russian businesses.
“This is another piece of nonsense that is, of course, spreading like gossip. This is pure misinformation. Therefore, one must simply be sober and not react to such fabrications,” said the agency's interlocutor in response to a question about whether there are grounds for such concerns.
