Two Wounded: Azerbaijanis Leave Parukh with Russian Troop Escort
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has issued a statement reading: “The Russian peacekeeping contingent continues to carry out assignments in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. Russian peacekeepers are conducting round-the-clock monitoring and controlling compliance with the ceasefire regime at 27 observation points.
In the Askeran region, two cases of ceasefire violations by Azerbaijani forces have been recorded. As a result of the exchanges of fire, two individuals from each side were injured. The command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent has stabilized the situation in cooperation with representatives of the conflicting sides.
As a result of negotiations, the Azerbaijani side has withdrawn its units from the territory of the village of Parukh. Russian peacekeeping units have escorted three columns of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan through the Lachin corridor—two to the north and one to the south. Patrols have been conducted along four routes in the Askeran, Martakert, Martuni, and Shushi regions.”
