Russian Ministry of Defense Reports on Ukrainian Casualties

During the Russian special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have suffered a total of approximately 30,000 casualties, including both dead and wounded. This was announced to journalists by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Igor Konashenkov, as reported by lenta.ru.

At the same time, irretrievable losses have reached around 14,000 individuals, with an additional 16,000 wounded. The Defense Ministry also reported that as of February 24, out of the 2,416 tanks, armored personnel carriers, and infantry fighting vehicles in service in the Ukrainian army, over 1,500 have been destroyed.

It was also noted that during the military special operation initiated by Russia in Ukraine, 1,351 members of the Russian army have died and 3,825 have been wounded.

This marks the second time Russia has officially disclosed its casualty figures since the invasion of Ukraine, while Ukrainian claims assert that the number of killed Russian servicemen exceeds 16,000.
