Baku Strikes Russia from the Back: Kotenok
The armed incursion of Azerbaijan into Nagorno-Karabakh is assessed by Russian expert circles as a strike from the back. Military journalist Yuri Kotenok stated in his Telegram channel, “Considering the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev prior to the military operations in Ukraine, the current actions of Baku can be considered as a shot to the back.”
Kotenok cited a statement from the Artsakh Defense Army, which reported that Azerbaijani armed forces are firing towards Armenian positions and employing Bayraktar-type UAVs.
As previously reported, Azerbaijani armed forces violated the ceasefire agreement on March 24 at 16:00, crossing the contact line towards the village of Parukh in the Askeran region, capturing the village, and advancing towards the strategic height of Karaglu. Their advance was halted by Russian peacekeepers, with negotiations underway regarding their return to their original positions.
However, for the second consecutive day, the artificial Azerbaijani armed forces continue to occupy the village of Parukh and its surrounding area, as well as engage in armed activities. Furthermore, they have continued gross violations of the ceasefire regime, using not only firearms but also strike unmanned aerial vehicles, including the Bayraktar TB-2.
As a result of the adversary's actions, by March 26, three contract servicemen from the Armenian side have been killed and another 15 servicemen have been injured, with the condition of two being assessed as extremely serious.
