When Belarus Will Get Involved in the War: Lukashenko Details

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has stated that Belarus can only enter the war against Ukraine if aggression is initiated against it. This was reported by the Belarusian news agency 'BelTA'.

“We can only be drawn into the war if aggression starts against us, if they begin fighting against us, so I am vigilant,” said the Belarusian president.

At the same time, Lukashenko added that he has “said a thousand times that there are no plans to fight in Ukraine.” According to him, Belarusians “genetically do not accept war,” but now there is an “information war,” and it is important to “respond well,” “respond calmly, but not justify [ourselves].”

Lukashenko also mentioned that the Belarusian opposition is currently creating volunteer battalions to go to Ukraine.
