Technical Error Resulted in Controversial Ukrainian Tweet, Says MP

Thanks to the swift action of parliamentary diplomacy and the foreign affairs department, the tweet from the Rada that caused a significant uproar has been removed. This was stated by Armenian National Assembly member Hratchya Hakobian on his Facebook page, referring to the misinformation regarding Nagorno-Karabakh posted on the official Twitter page of Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada.

“We have received assurances that the content of the tweet did not represent an official position and was a result of a technical error. I hope that similar misunderstandings will not occur in the future,” he added.

It should be noted that there was significant online commotion early this morning due to the misinformation posted on the official page of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada. The post claimed that Azerbaijani armed forces had launched an attack in Nagorno-Karabakh, allegedly taking advantage of the fact that the Russian peacekeeping forces had left the region and were sent to Ukraine.
