Macron and Erdogan Discuss Issues Related to Azerbaijan and Armenia

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with French President Emmanuel Macron in Brussels. The Erdogan-Macron meeting took place during the NATO summit, reports Ermenihaber.

According to the Élysée Palace, Erdogan and Macron discussed the situation in the South Caucasus. During his meeting with the Turkish leader, Macron expressed his country’s determination to find a permanent political solution to the crisis between Azerbaijan and Armenia within the framework of the Minsk Group.

Additionally, Macron expressed satisfaction with the efforts being made towards normalizing relations between Turkey and Armenia. The two sides also discussed the situation in Ukraine, emphasizing the need to establish a ceasefire as soon as possible.
