Lukashenko Discusses Expulsion of 12 Ukrainian Spies
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has announced that Minsk has expelled 12 Ukrainian spies operating under diplomatic cover.
“A whole group, even in our Ukraine, they were there. We saw them—12 people. Go take a look,” Lukashenko's words are quoted by Sputnik.
On Tuesday, Belarus's KGB announced that it had dissolved Ukraine's residency operating in the country under diplomatic cover. According to them, the actions of some Ukrainian diplomats exhibit signs of espionage.
Despite the fact that there are slightly more than twenty people in the Ukrainian diplomatic mission, at least half of them are employees of Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate and the Foreign Intelligence Service, emphasized the Belarusian KGB.
