27-Year-Old Driver Crashes Mazda 6 into Iron Barriers in Chayni Bend, Several Injured

Today, on March 24, a car accident occurred in the Kotayk region. Around 09:00, 27-year-old Karapet B., a resident of Kotayk, lost control of his Mazda 6 vehicle on the 25 km section of the Yerevan-Sevan highway, in the Chayni bend, and collided with the iron barriers on the right side.

According to shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, Karapet B. and a passenger, 52-year-old Armen B., were taken with bodily injuries to the Abovyan Medical Center.

Another passenger, 20-year-old Emma S., a resident of Kotayk, received first aid on the spot from the promptly arrived medical personnel. The driver underwent sobriety tests and was found to be sober. The cause of the accident was attributed to black ice on the road, as the road maintenance company had not performed necessary maintenance work.
