US Authorities Preparing New Sanctions Against Russia

The Biden administration is preparing a new package of sanctions against members of the State Duma in light of the situation surrounding Ukraine, The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday, citing TASS.

More than 300 lawmakers could fall under the restrictions being developed by American authorities. It is noted that the new restrictive measures will be announced on Thursday.

Earlier, Jake Sullivan, the U.S. National Security Advisor, stated that the U.S. and the European Union would impose additional sanctions against the Russian Federation and tighten existing ones following President Biden's visit to Brussels.
