Putin Discusses Situation in Ukraine with Scholz

Russian President Vladimir Putin has had a phone conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, during which they discussed the situation in Ukraine and the progress of negotiations with Kyiv, according to the Kremlin's press service.

"President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin had a phone call with the Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz. While discussing the situation around Ukraine, attention was focused on the issues related to the ongoing negotiations between representatives of Russia and Ukraine," the report states.

In the conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, President Putin presented a number of observations regarding Russia's principled position in the context of negotiations with Ukrainian representatives, the Kremlin's press service reports.
