Armenian Proposals Transferred to Baku, No Response Yet: Ararat Mirzoyan
There is nothing unacceptable in Azerbaijan's five-point proposals; Armenia has filled the entire agenda for possible negotiations on the peace treaty with its own proposals. As reported by "Armenpress", this was stated by Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during a Q&A session with government members in the National Assembly, responding to the question of Civil Contract faction MP Arusyak Julhakyan regarding whether Armenia had received a response from the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group concerning the request to organize negotiations for signing a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
"You also mentioned that Armenia responded to Azerbaijan's five-point proposals, and I would like to ask you to present the details of our response once again and inform us whether we have received a response from Baku regarding their proposal to our response," Julhakyan inquired.
In response to these questions, Ararat Mirzoyan noted that these issues require further clarification. "After we stated that we had responded to Azerbaijan, certain comments were made, some of which were misinterpretations, as the evaluations were such that Armenia had rejected Azerbaijan's proposals. There is essentially nothing unacceptable in Azerbaijan's proposals for Armenia; rather, they did not fully address the entire agenda for possible negotiations. Thus, for comprehensive peace, we have supplemented and enriched the agenda with our proposals and forwarded them to the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group. I have been informed by the co-chairing countries of the OSCE Minsk Group that these proposals have been transferred to official Baku. So far, we have no response from Baku," concluded Mirzoyan.
He mentioned that Armenia's proposals have been published in an interview with the "Armenpress" news agency.
