Azerbaijani Authorities Install Valve on Gas Pipeline to Halt Gas Supply to Artsakh at Will: Tatoyan
The former Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan, has addressed the issue of the gas pipeline in Artsakh, which, after renovations, has had a valve installed by the Azerbaijani side to control the gas supply.
Tatoyan specifically noted: "It is clear that under the guise of purported renovations, the Azerbaijani authorities have installed a valve that allows them to halt the gas supply to Artsakh whenever they choose. This is a deliberate act that creates serious humanitarian issues and massive violations of rights, leaving over 100,000 peaceful residents of Artsakh, as well as hospitals, kindergartens, and facilities for children and the elderly, without heating and hot water in cold weather."
“But this reflects the real intentions of Azerbaijan, representing a genocidal policy. I warn with evidence and facts that since the war, Azerbaijani authorities have not reduced their hatred and animosity even slightly. This will not change, as for them it is a source of political life—a means to divert their own populace from internal issues under the guise of an external enemy and to maintain power. Isn't it clear that the Azerbaijani authorities' statements about peace do not correspond to reality—they are merely a façade for the outside world?”
