VIDEO: Have You Responded to Baku's 5 Demands? Vanetsyan to Authorities

Armenia and Artsakh are facing serious security challenges. This was stated by Arthur Vanetsyan, the leader of the 'I Have Honor' faction, during parliamentary hearings.

He noted that after Azerbaijan unleashed aggression in 2020, the country is now presenting new demands for peace, introducing so-called five principles that, according to Vanetsyan, are about abandoning Artsakh and definitively closing the issue of Artsakh.

“Turkey, Azerbaijan's older brother, has smoothly joined and is supporting Baku's coercive policy, the latest evidence of which was the visit of the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs to Antalya and subsequent statements by senior Turkish officials that Armenia must accept Azerbaijan's proposals. In response to all this, Yerevan is silent; more precisely, it continues to speak about opening a 'new era of peace',” Vanetsyan said, adding that the position of Armenia's current government regarding the five points presented by Azerbaijan is equally absurd.

“A logical question arises here: have you responded to these five demands or not? If you have responded, what is the logic behind refusing to publicize it, what is the purpose? Moreover, the Armenian authorities are expressing their willingness to organize negotiations with Azerbaijan regarding a peace agreement through the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group. Do they not know that the OSCE Minsk Group does not have such a mandate? Do they not understand that by leaving Artsakh out of the process, they are making an irreversible mistake, or are they again serving the Azerbaijani agenda?” Vanetsyan stated.
