Different Things Reach My Ears: The Mayor Claims He Is Being Deceived

“Different things reach my ears, and I hear that I am busy, that I do not sign documents—starting from building permits and ending with completion acts. I openly declare again that all of this is a lie,” said Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan during an operational meeting of the Yerevan City Hall.

“Those who say that the mayor is busy and does not sign the completion acts are lying. You are being deceived. I kindly ask that in such cases, you call the hotline and provide names and surnames of those who have misused my name. As for the building permits, I check my mail three times a week. Perhaps I am overloaded and there are issues, but it is unnecessary to talk under buildings that the mayor is busy. What does it mean that the mayor is busy? It is my responsibility; I need to do it.

“Do not make it so that I start dealing with names and see who has said what. If you have issues with the completion acts, come and tell me, and let’s understand what the problem is. I know what I am saying, and as they say, ‘Не первый день замужем’. I urge everyone to be very careful when they talk about me.

“It’s a small town; everything reaches me in 5 minutes,” Sargsyan concluded.
