Ararat Mirzoyan Holds Phone Conversation with Sergey Lavrov

On March 21, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a phone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The discussions focused on Armenian-Russian cooperation, reciprocal visits at high and highest levels, and events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Armenia and Russia.

Mirzoyan and Lavrov addressed the implementation of agreements reached through the trilateral statements of November 9, 2020, January 11, 2021, and November 26, 2021. The Armenian Foreign Minister presented the situation created by provocations and violations of the ceasefire regime by Azerbaijan in the Armenia-Azerbaijan border area and Nagorno-Karabakh.

Ararat Mirzoyan also conveyed the Armenian side's stance regarding the commencement of negotiations on a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, emphasizing the role of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship in this context.

Additionally, during the phone conversation, the two sides discussed the process of normalizing Armenia-Turkey relations. They exchanged views on issues related to regional and international security.
