Kuleba Calls Lavrov a Skilled Diplomat, Ready to Talk
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has described Sergey Lavrov as a skilled diplomat and expressed his willingness to continue negotiations with him. “Lavrov is an extremely skilled diplomat. I believe he is the longest-serving foreign minister in the world today. He simply has immense experience. I am ready to talk to him, I am ready to have serious and substantive conversations with him. But all our public narratives must remain outside the negotiation room. Only then can we achieve results,” Kuleba stated.
The head of Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry noted that any war has two conclusions. The first is that one party will lose, and the second option is a deal. “I believe that the second option is more realistic. For this, we, as a state and as a society, must understand that to stop the war, we need to reach an agreement. Ukrainian diplomacy is working towards ensuring that this agreement is as favorable as possible for Ukraine,” Kuleba declared.
