Number of Russian Soldiers Killed in Ukraine: U.S. Intelligence Data

The New York Times has published U.S. intelligence data detailing the casualties suffered by the Russian army since February 24. According to this data, more than 7,000 Russian servicemen were killed in the first 20 days of the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Additionally, the U.S. media outlet reports that between 14,000 and 21,000 Russian soldiers have been wounded. Overall, the publication states that more than 150,000 military personnel from Russia are participating in the conflict.

At the same time, sources of The New York Times emphasized that their casualty data may not be entirely accurate. These figures are based on media analysis, satellite imagery, Russian soldiers and equipment that came under fire, as well as official data from both sides.
