Men from Kharamort Village Put on Combat Readiness
The newspaper "Haykakan Zhamanak" reports that women and children from Kharamort village, located near the Artsakh border, did not return to the village yesterday due to a decision by the municipal leadership, as safety could not be ensured.
Sources from Artsakh inform us that the men of the village have been put on combat readiness alongside the Defense Army and Russian peacekeepers, positioning themselves in the village area in preparation for possible provocations from Azerbaijanis. During the day, a group of parliament members from Artsakh also visited Kharamort to show support to the villagers. One of them conveyed that the men from Kharamort appeared more combat-ready yesterday than in previous days. "The presence of women and children was constraining for certain actions," he stated.
It should be noted that in recent days, due to provocations by the Azerbaijani armed forces, the women and children from Kharamort community have been temporarily relocated to other settlements. As of yesterday, it remained unclear when they would return to the village. The issue is that the positional advantage of the Azerbaijanis has put the Kharamort residents directly in the line of fire, and being located on a hill, the Azerbaijanis are firing at the village with targeted shots.
