Cadillac and Opel Astra Collide in Yerevan, One Injured

Today, on March 16, an accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 14:40, at the intersection of Tumanyan and Teryan streets, a collision took place between an Opel Astra driven by 30-year-old Sarik Yeghiazaryan from Kotayk Province and a Cadillac driven by 25-year-old Arman Gevorgyan from Yerevan.

According to reports from the scene by shamshyan.com, one person was taken to Number 1 University Hospital with bodily injuries. Firefighters managed to rescue the passenger from the Opel, identified as 63-year-old I. H. from Yerevan. Following this, firefighters deactivated the vehicles and closed the valves of the gas cylinders.

According to preliminary information, the driver of the Opel is deemed responsible for the accident, as he failed to yield to the Cadillac traveling on the main road, creating a hazardous situation which led to the collision. This information is being clarified at the traffic police, and there are indications that the moment of the accident was recorded by cameras installed on the street.
