Peskov Refuses to Make Predictions
The Kremlin will refrain from making predictions regarding the prospects of a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, in an interview with reporters, as reported by RIA Novosti.
“We do not want to make predictions just yet. We will wait until there are tangible results that can be communicated first and foremost to the public of both countries,” he said.
Earlier, an advisor to the head of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office announced that a peace agreement could be reached between the two countries within one to two weeks, at the latest by May. Commenting on his statement, Peskov remarked that, at the moment, this is apparently his forecast.
The Kremlin representative emphasized that the Russian side would not want to rush in terms of predictions.
