"I warned you that we would be pushed into that action": A "Tochka-U" missile fired in Belarus

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, stated that a "Tochka-U" missile was fired towards the country. This was mentioned by Lukashenko during a meeting with military officials, according to the state BelTA news agency.

Lukashenko did not specify the source or the perpetrator of the missile launch towards Belarus but noted that "they and the Russians" intercepted and destroyed it two days ago in the Pripyat region. The recent silence was attributed to the effort to understand what had occurred.

“I warned you that we would be pushed into that operation, that war. Literally two days ago, the firing of another 'Tochka-U' missile on our Belarusian territory was an attack on our territory, which we successfully stopped along with the Russians. Do they want to bomb Belarus with one missile? That won't work. That missile simply won't reach us. But why is this happening? To provoke us into reacting. But we are not so naive. If we respond, it will be a measured response, so that everyone feels it. For now, we are tolerating this,” Lukashenko stated.

At the same time, he emphasized that he does not intend to get involved in the operations that Russia is conducting in Ukraine. “There is no need for this... We have no business there,” Lukashenko said, adding that moreover, the Belarusians are not invited there.
