Major Car Accident in Ashtarak: There Are Injuries
Today, on March 14, a major car accident occurred in the Aragatsotn region. At around 07:40, 39-year-old Arthur Zohrebyan, a resident of Yerevan, lost control of his Mazda 6 vehicle near the address of 4 Tigran the Great in Ashtarak. The car veered off the traffic lane, collided with an iron electricity pole, knocked it down, and then broke a sign intended for a bus stop before ending up on the sidewalk. The vehicle then continued forward, demolishing a kiosk and eventually ending up on the pedestrian walkway.
According to reports from the scene by shamshyan.com, the driver was transported to the Ashtarak medical center with bodily injuries. Rescuers cut the power to the vehicle, moved the fallen electricity pole to a safe location, removed the damaged parts of the kiosk from the sidewalk, and cordoned off the area.
