Kyiv Prepares for Blockade, Stockpiling Food Supplies

In Kyiv, a two-week supply of essential food items is being stockpiled for the two million residents who remain in the city. This information was shared via a message from the Kyiv City State Administration's Telegram channel.

“The city is preparing for possible actions in the event of a blockade. The two million Kyiv residents who have not left their homes will not be left alone if the situation worsens. The city authorities are doing everything possible in cooperation with businesses to ensure this,” the message stated.

It was noted that the city is grateful to both Ukrainian and foreign partners who have managed to supply the most essential goods to both large and small shops in the shortest time and organize their nearly uninterrupted delivery.

“Additionally, salaries and pensions are being paid in the capital, so we urge Kyiv residents, if possible, not only to purchase everything they need from the shops but also to pay for utilities,” the message added.
