Pentagon Implements New Measures to Accelerate Weapons Supply to Ukraine
The Pentagon is updating its team to accelerate the supply of weapons to Ukraine, Reuters reports, citing sources familiar with the operations.
The Pentagon's Acquisition and Sustainment Office, which serves as the buyer of weapons for the U.S. Department of Defense, is receiving increasing inquiries from European allies looking to supply weapons to Ukraine through third parties or to purchase weapons to bolster their own defenses, sources say.
Previously, there had been no reports of such efforts as the Pentagon tries to respond to the rapidly changing landscape of deals and arms supplies. The Pentagon has utilized a rapid response team since the Trump administration.
