VIDEO: Attempted Murder in Malatia-Sebastia - Details

The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia is conducting investigative and procedural actions regarding an attempted murder case under Articles 34-104, Part 1, and 235, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code, in the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan.

According to the Investigative Committee, a report about the incident was received on March 7, 2022, at 23:40 from the "Astghik" Medical Center. A young man born in 1996 sought medical assistance for multiple gunshot wounds to various parts of his body.

As a result of the measures taken, the crime scene was identified. Investigators discovered fired cartridges, bullets, and blood-like traces in the yard and entrance of one of the buildings on Z. Andranik Street in Yerevan.

Forensic medical, ballistic, and forensic genetic examinations have been appointed. Efforts are underway to clarify all circumstances of the incident, as well as to identify, locate, and present the individual suspected of committing the crime to the judicial authorities.
