The Surge of Russians Observed in Armenia is Important, Says MP
MP Tigran Abrahamyan from the 'I Have Honor' faction writes: 'The recent surge of Russians observed in Armenia is significant not just from a business perspective, but also purely from a humanitarian standpoint. It should not be forgotten that according to various estimates, 2.5-3 million Armenians live in the Russian Federation, and Russian military personnel are ensuring security in Armenia and Artsakh. Regardless of political allegiance, a special attitude should be displayed towards the Russians arriving in Armenia.'
He continues: 'I reiterate that this is not just a moral issue; it directly affects how Armenians living in Armenia or the Russian Federation will be treated and what kind of policies will be adopted towards them in different situations. Despite various negative positions expressed by different political figures and groups in Ukraine at various stages, it is heartbreaking to see the situation of the Ukrainian people from a human perspective, as there have been Armenians living there for centuries, and the war is primarily a human tragedy.'
Abrahamyan adds: 'I do not believe that the Russian operation will continue for long, but even the end of military operations does not mean that stability or security can be established in Ukraine.'
