- Mr. Hovhannisyan, can you tell us about the current situation for Armenians in Ukraine? What actions are being taken?

- Staff of the Honorary Consulate in Kharkiv are currently in a relatively safe part of the consular district and are carrying out their activities. We are assisting with the evacuation of citizens and maintain constant communication with them. If necessary, we find solutions regarding the supply of medication and food. We provide up-to-date information on the schedules of evacuation trains and offer advice on relatively safe routes for those traveling from Kharkiv by personal vehicles on that day. Additionally, if needed, we find and provide vehicles for moving around the city as well as transporting citizens directly to the borders of Europe.

- What challenges are you encountering while executing these tasks?

- The challenges are mainly caused by the incessant shelling and bombings. It is also important to mention the selfless work of some individuals of Armenian descent.

- Are there issues related to finding medication, food, and vehicles?

- Municipal authorities and various individuals are finding solutions related to the supply of food and medication.
