The European Union is not at war with Russia due to the conflict in Ukraine. This was stated by the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, in an interview with the French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche.

The European official emphasized that the EU keeps all channels of communication with Moscow open. “The European Union is definitively not at war with Russia,” Michel stressed.

Moreover, according to him, the EU supports its friend Ukraine “at all levels.” “Despite the well-known tragic situation, we keep all communication channels open with Russia,” added the President of the European Council.
