Evacuation of Residents from Mariupol and Volnovakha in Danger, Basurin Says

The evacuation of residents from Mariupol and Volnovakha is in jeopardy. This was announced by Eduard Basurin, a representative of the Donetsk People's Militia, during a broadcast on "Russia 24."

"The Ukrainian side has refused to guarantee the preservation of the ceasefire," he said.

According to him, humanitarian corridors have been opened in both cities since the morning for the civilian population. He emphasized that the fire has only been halted in the corridor area.

Russian sources indicate that the Ukrainian side announced the evacuation of residents from Mariupol one day after an agreement was reached with Russia regarding this matter.
