European Commission Calls for Abandonment of Russian Oil, Gas, and Coal

The European Union must completely free itself from energy sources linked to Russia through diversification, energy efficiency, and the transition to alternative energy sources, stated European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen at a press conference in Madrid.

“Energy continues to remain one of the most crucial issues. The European Union must rid itself of its dependence on Russian oil, gas, and coal. To achieve this, we need to diversify supply sources, achieve better results in energy efficiency, and make massive investments in renewable energy sources,” said the President of the European Commission, as reported by TASS.
