Tragic Incident in Stepanavan: Body of 22-Year-Old Driver Found in Vehicle

On March 4, a tragic incident occurred in the Lori region. Around 3:30 PM, the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a report that a vehicle was found under the bridge in Stepanavan, in the Zoraget area, raising concerns that there may be individuals inside.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, firefighters, with the help of special cables and an elevated crane, recovered the Infiniti vehicle from the river, where the body of the driver, 22-year-old Melik Hovsepyan, a resident of Stepanavan, was discovered.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. As reported by G. Shamshyan, the deceased had been searched for by his relatives, friends, and local police, as well as traffic officers since the morning.
