Tragic Car Accident in Syunik Region: Sister Dies on the Spot, Brother Hospitalized

On March 4, a tragic car accident occurred in the Syunik region due to icy road conditions. Around 16:30, 52-year-old Andranik Danielyan, a resident of Artsakh temporarily living in Yerevan, lost control of his Mitsubishi Pajero io while driving on the Yerevan-Meghri highway at the 214.2 km mark. The vehicle veered off the road, rolled over, and ended up in the left side of the road.

According to reports from Shamshyan.com, the accident resulted in the death of the passenger, 45-year-old Anahit Danielyan, who died on the spot. Driver A. Danielyan was transported to Sisian Medical Center with bodily injuries.

A criminal case has been initiated by the investigative department of Sisian based on the second part of Article 242 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. By the investigator's order, the vehicle has been moved to a secure area held by the police in Sisian. According to information from G. Shamshyan, the deceased was the driver's sister.
