Russia Establishes Dominance in Ukrainian Airspace, Leaving 'Bayraktar' Name Only for Kyiv Zoo - Vardan Voskanian

Iranologist Vardan Voskanian stated on his Facebook page that the Turkish-unmanned aerial vehicle 'Bayraktar' is facing significant damage from the Russian forces in Ukraine. He noted that the Erdoğan administration is attempting to respond to this with boastful claims that the Turks supposedly achieved the world's first victory with drones.

"Moreover, all of this is happening at a time when the Russian military has not only nearly completely destroyed the 'Bayraktars' at Ukraine's disposal but also, judging by the official video released today, successfully deployed its own combat drone, the 'Inokhodets'. By doing so, Russia has effectively cleared the Ukrainian sky of Erdoğan's 'Bayraktars' and has asserted dominance on the drone level as well, leaving the name 'Bayraktar' only for a certain animal at the Kyiv Zoo, where that name has been given to one of its creatures," he wrote.
