Aluminum Grates from Graves Stolen, 3 Individuals Detained

In recent months, the patrol service of the Armenian Police in Yerevan has prevented and disclosed numerous crimes. Today, on March 4, shortly after midnight, officers from the 1st platoon of the 1st battalion of the police patrol service noticed a suspicious vehicle on Artsakh Street.

According to the order of the battalion commander, the vehicle was stopped, during which two young men accompanied the driver. An inspection revealed that the trunk contained broken aluminum grates from graves, which turned out to have been stolen by the vandals from the tombs of the deceased.

The suspects, along with a suspicious bag and a large hammer (kolt), were taken to the Erebuni police department. There are suspicions that the trio may have stolen the grates from the cemeteries of Nubarashen or the Ararat region. They have since been released. The circumstances are being clarified.
