Snow Falling in Some Cities: Situation on Roads in Armenia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia.

The roads leading from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and to Kari Lake are closed in the Aragatsotn region.

Snowfall is reported in the cities of Gavar and Sevan in Gegharkunik Province, as well as in Hrazdan and Charentsavan in Kotayk Province, Akhuryan in Aragatsotn Province, and in the region of Aragats. Snow is also observed in the area known as "Meghri Mountain" in Syunik Province.

According to information from the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Laus road is open.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
