Gas Prices in Europe Rise by 30%
The price of gas in Europe has risen to approximately $1480 per 1000 cubic meters at the close of daily trading, according to TASS, citing data from London's ICE exchange. Overall, the daily cost of gas has increased by 30%.
At the Dutch TTF hub, the value of April futures rose to $1476 per 1000 cubic meters by the end of the day. The total increase in gas prices throughout the day was 30.3%.
On the previous day, gas prices had surged by up to 36%, exceeding $1470 per 1000 cubic meters. However, it subsequently dropped significantly amid reports of negotiations between Russian and Ukrainian delegations near the border region of Gomel, Belarus.
