Changes in Rules for Visiting Georgia

According to the decision of the Interdepartmental Coordinating Council of Georgia, starting from March 1, 2022, there have been changes in the regulations regarding entry into the territory of Georgia by air, land, and sea routes. The Armenian Embassy in Georgia informs about this.

- Citizens of the Republic of Armenia who have completed the full course of VACCINATION against the coronavirus (COVID-19) can enter Georgia by LAND, AIR, and SEA routes, providing a paper version (certificate downloaded from the ARMVD system) to the border crossing point, proving ONLY full vaccination against the coronavirus (COVID-19) in accordance with the instructions of the specific vaccine, with the required number of doses (for the single-dose vaccine, the certificate must confirm administration at least 28 days prior, and for multi-dose vaccines, at least 14 days for the last dose).

All VACCINES against the coronavirus (COVID-19) offered to citizens by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia are also accepted in Georgia.

- UNVACCINATED citizens of the Republic of Armenia or those who have not completed the full vaccination course can enter Georgia by presenting a paper version of the negative result of a PCR test for the coronavirus (COVID-19) with a validity period of no more than 72 hours at the border crossing point. The mandatory requirement to take a second PCR test within 72 hours after entering Georgia is no longer in effect.

Children under the age of 10 are exempt from the requirement to present a PCR test at the border crossing point.

The obligation for foreign citizens to fill out an online application form for entering Georgia has also been revoked.

Citizens of the Republic of Armenia can enter Georgia and vice versa by land through the Bagratashen-Sadakhlo and Bavra-Ninotsminda border crossing points. The border crossing points operate every day in a round-the-clock working regime.

For children under 6 years and 11 months and 29 days of age entering the Republic of Armenia, a negative test or vaccination certificate is not required.
