Russian Forces Slow Down Offensive Tempo, Reports Ukraine's Armed Forces
Russian forces have slowed down their offensive tempo but continue to attempt offensives in certain directions. According to Korrespondent, this information was reported by the General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces.
Earlier, the country's Armed Forces General Staff had reported that the Russian military continues aerial and ground offensive operations against Ukraine, particularly with the resumption of troop movements towards Kyiv.
“During the aerial-ground offensive operation, the enemy has continued to strike military and civilian airports, command posts, air defense system facilities, important infrastructure objects, residential areas, and defensive district units,” stated Ukraine's Armed Forces.
It was noted that the previous night, in Polesie, towards the capital Kyiv, the Russian side resumed attempts to advance by constructing a pontoon bridge over the Irpin River near the village of Demidov.
The source reports that Kyiv's defenders have implemented a dense and multi-layered defense system for the capital, engaging in coordinated efforts against small diversionary groups of 3-15 members.
Recall that on the morning of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation to demilitarize Ukraine. In a televised address, he stated that the circumstances “require decisive and immediate actions from us, as the people of the Donbas have requested assistance from Russia.”
According to the Russian leader, all responsibility for the bloodshed will rest on the conscience of the regime in Ukraine. He urged Ukrainian soldiers not to execute the criminal orders of the Ukrainian authorities, to lay down their arms, and go home.
