Putin Orders Maintenance of Interest Rates

Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed to ensure the maintenance of lending interest rates for contracts that have been signed before the Central Bank's key interest rate rises above 20 percent. This was reported by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President, as conveyed by RIA Novosti.

The spokesperson noted that the head of Sberbank, German Gref, did not participate in the meeting, although his name was on the list of participants.

It is worth reminding that against the backdrop of ongoing events in Ukraine, the exchange rate of the ruble has decreased. In the morning, the exchange rate in Armenian banks was fluctuating between 2.50 and 3.5 drams per 1 ruble. However, at present, the price has relatively increased, reaching between 3 and 3.99 drams for 1 ruble in Armenian banks.
