Peskov Reveals Putin's Attitude Toward Sanctions
Vladimir Putin is indifferent to the sanctions imposed against him due to the Russian operation in Ukraine. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, to journalists.
“He is quite indifferent. Everyone knows that the president has no other assets apart from those declared every year, including his trailer, apartment, and other bank deposits.
Therefore, he is quite indifferent,” said the Kremlin spokesman.
According to him, the decision to impose sanctions against the head of state is absurd and cannot lead to problem-solving.
“If you approach it from the perspective of problem-solving, the very fact of imposing sanctions against the head of state is not only absurd but also shortsighted, I can say that,” stated the Kremlin spokesperson.
It should be noted that after the military operations in Ukraine commenced, Western countries imposed stringent sanctions against Russia. Sanctions were imposed on Russian banks, including Sberbank and VTB, major companies such as Aeroflot, as well as on Russian President Vladimir Putin, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu.
